Mission Statement The mission of the Detroit Restaurant & Lodging Association is to lead the foodservice and hospitality industry in Detroit through advocacy, education and innovation. History The Detroit Restaurant Association (DRA) was formed in 2017 as a local chapter of the Michigan Restaurant Association (MRA) tasked with representing the local interests of the nearly 1,000 restaurants operating in Michigan’s largest city. In fall of 2018, we joined the state association, and transitioned to the Detroit Restaurant & Lodging Association. What We Do The DRLA provides owners and operators with access to member benefit programs, valuable industry connections, political and community representation and support for initiatives that will best impact you and your business. Members of the DRLA can access discounts on ServSafe certifications and exclusive educational and professional development opportunities. As your collective voice, we provide representation where it matters, ultimately positioning your business for success. Membership The Detroit Restaurant & Lodging Association (DRLA) includes the counties of Oakland, Macomb and Wayne.
